The English Premier Pedigree Spring Show & Sale is being held on Saturday 10th March 2018 at Newark Livestock Market

From Norfolk:

Hobart Vanquish XP80763

A well grown and correct young bull; DOB 07/03/2016; out of Hemingby Bridget by our stock bull Hemingby Dennis. He has a nice polled head, a rich dark coat & meets all the Breed Standards. Vanquish was shown throughout the 2017 season at Woodhall Spa, Suffolk, Lincoln & Norfolk Shows & placed well in all classes; he was good to handle.  He has good legs & feet standing squarely & correctly. His 400 day weight was 528kgs on a standard ration, so he has not been over pushed.

Hemingby Dennis, his Sire; DOB 24/03/2008, has been our main stock bull up to 2017 when he moved to the Primrose Herd.  He has proven himself as a reliable fertile sire with longevity & sired many calves for us at 28 to 32kg liveweight & all easy calving.  We have kept most of Dennis's daughters, several have been shown successfully & are herd replacements.  Steers & commercial crosses have sold for slaughter achieving R4L & R4H carcases wighing 290 to 340kgs dead weight at 15 to 21 months.

The Herd is free of BVD, IBR & Johnes & Hobart Vanquish will be sold tested free of these diseases & fertility tested if the purchaser wishes.  We are in a TB4 parish & the Herd tested clear of TB in October 2017.  This is a good opportunity to purchase a quality young stock bull off farm ready for the spring breeding season.

 From Lincolnshire:

Hobart Simeon XP80561

Sire: Hemingby Alfred; Dam: Wragby Miss M14.  Hobart Simeon was bred by AWJ Bambridge from Norfolk and purchased by us in 2015 as a two year old.  He is a very easy calving sire whose progeny have excellent conformation; over the last three years he has thrown super calves; we haven't had to assist any of our cows at calving and he's always got our "girls" back in calf with 100% success!  He is for sale now as we don't want him to cover his daughters!

Our Wingland Herd is in the HiHealth Cattle Health Scheme and Accredited free of BVD, Lepto, Johnes and IBR Marker Vaccinated.

Price £1600 ono
